Beautiful tutorial and great idea. I have made similar slippers with the following changes:
posted: 12:49 pm on January 29th- I pre-shrunk the wool before making slippers by washing and drying on hot.
- No seam allowance
- Wove a ribbon through the crocheted edge to use as a drawstring.
