I discovered paper crafts about five or six years ago and it has been my passion ever since. In my earlier life, I sewed, crocheted and knitted, but eyesight no longer permits me to do those things. I operate a home business and I am owned by two ragdoll cats. My hobbies, aside from crafting, include kayaking, golf, movies, Pilates, Tai Chi, walking, theatre and reading.

Re: Book Giveaway: Eco Craft: Recycle Recraft Restyle

I love the idea of using recycled materials in our craft projects. I have just made an "Easter Bunny House" using a pizza box to cut the pattern and I'm getting ready to make a book sculpture using a book found in the trash bins and some ribbon that was on a gift. I'd love your book.

Re: How to Make a Valentine from an Onion

This is amazing. How creative you are, and what a beautiful project. I am going to link to it from my scrapbooking blog.

Re: Crumpled Up: How to Make Paper Flowers

These are quite remarkable. I plan to make some asap.

Re: Take Responsibility with Eco-Friendly Paper-Crafting Tips

I really support you in your attempts to reduce the environmental footprint. I also do crafts with this in mind. I do some hybrid scrapbooking, in that I include digital elements to my designs. However, for the paper scrapbooking, part, I am an advocate of using found objects and ephemera for embellishments rather than buying products. The good news is that doing this also saves money as well as helping to save the planet. There's an article about it on my blog at Scrapbooking by Design
