Re: How to Recycle Magazines into Jewelry

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!! I WILL try this...I am into making my own jewelry AND recycling; this great idea combines the two!
Thanks for sharing!

Re: How to Make a Mosaic with Your Old Plastic

That is a wonderful idea!! I am definitely going to try
that!

Re: The Stairway to Success

As you can see....I AM TRYING TO MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!! As you believe, so you will achieve!

Re: Yesterday's Treasures

This is the name of my friend's antique mall. She has a lot of vintage clothes and costumes, hats, jewelry, furniture and collectibles of all kinds. I would love to have a booth
set up in her store to alter clothes for her customers.
We all get lost in "The Good Old Days" when we visit her
her shop. It is SO much fun! When you visit Dickson, TN,
you should look her up! (I am NOT her employee...I mention
her shop merely as one of my favorite places to visit!)

Re: Cloth Loft

Ha, ha, ha....very funny! I HAVE moved furniture with a few RATS before! (Just kidding....sort of!)

Re: Heart's Desire

Everyone on this site probably has a "Heart's Desire" to win this contest so some wonderful creative sewing can be done more
efficiently!! People who love to sew are usually very generous people who love to make things for others. I hope the most generous person wins this contest....WHOEVER THAT MAY BE!

Re: "YES WE CAN" Fashion Studio

I guess everyone knows where this idea came from. The president-elect started the "YES WE CAN" slogan. I hope
it doesn't turn into, "NO HE DIDN'T!"

Re: The Fashion Fabric Gallery

With stores catering to seamstresses getting fewer and farther between, I wish I could open my own fabric gallery where beautiful fabrics of all kinds could be on display....like an art gallery for different textiles and fabrics. I WOULD GO TO A STORE LIKE THAT!

Re: The Quilter's Lodge

I would book a room at a retreat in the woods called "The
Quilter's Lodge." A place to go enjoy nature and be with people who love to sew and exchange ideas and share tips
and skills with each other. Kinda like a Dude Ranch for quilters! Or like an ocean cruise for people who love to sew
but who get seasick. AND, OF COURSE THERE WILL BE LOTS OF GOOD FOOD! Nature hikes, swimming, picnicking, games, FOOD,
AND SEWING! Who could ask for anything more?

Re: Through the Needle's Eye

It is easier for a camel to get "through an eye of a needle"
than for me to get my life organized enough to do everything I need and want to do! I NEED HELP!!!

Re: My Stitch In Time

Time is something none of us have enough of. It would be nice to be able to stop time for just long enough to get caught up
with a few things! But, of course, we would always need just a
little while longer, wouldn't we?

Re: The Sew Much More Coffee Shop

I would like to go to a local coffee shop that catered to people who like to sew. A place to serve coffee and homemade pastries, while providing sewing machines and PC's, fabric, thread, etc (for a good price) and teach others to sew and embroider, quilt, etc. I may establish a place like that in the little town where I live!

Re: Online Fashions

I want to start a fashion line on the internet! The only thing standing in my way....besides a lack of funds, and
a very limited knowledge of the internet, is........WELL...
those ARE the things standing in my way...............

Re: The Chic Look Nook

You know I am getting desperate for ideas when I start trying to make things RHYME! Rap artists ain't got nuthin' to fear
from me!

Re: Memory Makers' Lounge

Some of the most vivid and treasured memories I have are
of being with my mother and other family members and friends working on sewing projects together. I have quilts, and
wall hangings, and dresses we made that are tangible proof
that we were together and had loads of fun in the past!
My Memories made of fabric, thread, and a whole lot of love
that I will pass on to future generations!

Re: The Garment District

Many years ago, I worked in a shirt factory....just a few
years, but LONG enough to make me appreciate the hard working people who make our clothes. We all take them for granted
too much. I have been sewing most of my life, and I know
it isn't easy, especially doing the same tedious job over
and over again. My room today is dedicated to all of the garment makers ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Re: Back to Basics

Basically...all we NEED is a sewing machine, fabric,
a few other "tools" and some creativity....and TIME!
All the fancy stuff in the world won't help us if we
don't have the TIME. (But all that FANCY STUFF sure would
be NICE!!!)

Re: Brad and Anjolina's dressing room

So many of the BIG STARS wouldn't look nearly as good as they do without a support team - dressers, make-up artists,
hair stylists, etc. We all would like that kind of help
some times.

Re: Too Much Time On My Hands

This game is fun...but I am running out of ideas.
Plus, evidently, I have too much time on my hands
and I must have been bored to come up with THIS!
SORRY!

Re: The Fashion Clinic

I dream of my own business where people desperate for
help with their fashion can come to "get treatment"....
a Fashion Clinic! I desperately need a place like that
MY OWN SELF!!
"IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME!"

Re: "NOW THAT'S LIVING!!" Room

If I did not have an extra space for my sewing room, my
living room would HAVE to look like this. I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT MY SEWING MACHINE!! I WOULD NOT WANT TO! (Slight
exaggeration there!)

Re: The Staging Area

Life is a "Stage", and we all need the right costume
for the Play. Some WEAR the costumes...some MAKE
the costumes. I have always been the one behind the
scene trying to make the "actors" look good. I enjoy
my role immensely.

Re: Mission Control

Organizing a wedding and making dresses for the bride and
bride's maids is almost as stressful and complicated as a
NASA rocket launch.... NASA's "Mission Control" probably
has fewer bickering, crying women! And less junk food!

Re: Top"O" The Town Boutique

One of my favorite fantasies is to have my own design studio..
my own dress "boutique." I would prefer it NOT be in a skyscraper. A nice, safe, ground level shop would be better!

Re: If I Only Had A Brain, INC.

Sometimes I feel as "brainless" as those three dress forms!
One day....some day....maybe The Wizard will grant my wish
for a brain....THEN I can REALLY get some sewing done!!
Maybe a nice, comfy padded cell would help me concentrate!

Re: The Twilight Zone

I have many times spent hours cleaning my sewing room only
to go back the next day and find it like this (well, no
floating tables!) I SWEAR something weird is going on;
like I've entered "The Twilight Zone"...OOOH, SPOOKY!

Re: THEY'VE GOT US SURROUNDED

Sometimes I feel like my sewing projects CONTROL my life...
instead of me controlling the sewing! Hence the name of this
room!

Re: The Drawer Room

I bet if I had a warehouse lined from top to bottom with
DRAWERS..... I still would find a way to fill them with
STUFF!!! Not necessarily GOOD stuff.....just STUFF!
I think extraterrestrials come down and fill my drawers
with STUFF!! They are real sneaky like that!

Re: My Mama's Maelstrom

My dear mother passed away almost four years ago.... she would
have pretended to be offended by this room and the title I gave it. But...really, she would have gotten a big kick out of it! She is the one who taught me to love fabric and all types of sewing. I MISS HER SO MUCH!

Re: I just want to sew

I had a nice, clean, UNCLUTTERED room like that once! I
REALLY loved it, too! It stayed that way all of ten minutes!
I have learned to "embrace" my mayhem and refer to it as
being "artistic"......HEY, it beats cleaning the mess up!

Re: Nobody understands

I love your room! I understand.....I wish I didn't...
BUT I DO!!

Re: Seams and Dreams

What a great name for a fabric and quilters store! You better
get that copyrighted!

Re: Ruth Rodelas Sewing Room

Wow! You must have just bought the place and haven't had
your furniture delivered yet! I wish I had a few rooms in my house that looks like this!!!

Re: The Winning Sewing Room

That's right! Keep a positive attitude!!

Re: Return of the Living Dress Form

That's funny!! I like it!

Re: My sewing room

I have had nightmares like that!

Re: The Jungle Room

I am really enjoying this website! What fun!
