Re: Where do you find sewing advice?
There are so many places and people from which to learn and I do a lot of them - books, magazines, patterns, tips and tricks from sewing and quilting magazines but I learn best by actually seeing how something is done. That means I attend classes at the sewing shows, attend meetings of the American Sewing Guild, attend classes at local quilt shops, do programs for my local ASG neighborhood group for which I have to do some research. What I value the most is the personal connection I have to several friends who also like to learn and share their knowledge and creativity. I also visit the high end garment sections in local department stores to see how different techniques are done and perhaps used in a very different way. It helps me get out of my box!
