Nicole Vasbinder, Petaluma, CA, US

My name is Nicole and Im the owner of StitchCraft, a hip sewing and craft studio in Petaluma, CA. Ive been teaching sewing classes for ages and was a longtime teacher at Stitch Lounge in San Francisco and continue to teach tons of popular classes at Stonemountain and Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley.

Ive designed the accessory line Queen Puff Puff since 2003 and sell my designs to stores throughout the United States and beyond. Prior to starting my own company, I worked as a designer and merchandiser in the garment industry. I am an alumnus of the Academy of Art University and Otis College of Art & Design and my work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Adorn Magazine, JoAnn Magazine, CROQ Zine, Venus Zine and Craft.

My favorite crafts are sewing and paper crafts. I have a short attention span and love projects that I can finish in a day. Sadly, thats why I dont knit. I adore vintage fabric and trims and big mod 60s prints. My style icons are Samantha Stevens and Mary Tyler Moore. Viva la big hair!

craft interests: fashion, gifts, home decorating, paper crafts, restyle, sewing
