Hello everyone,

I am a self-taught artist working in multi-media. I am also an avid reader. I love designing my own clothes as well as those for my 2 grown daughters and 2 grown grandsons. I sew, embroider, cross-stitch, crochet, make jewelry and have tried my hand at quilting and needlepoint. I am a recycler and therefore, have become very adept at repairing and mending. I save plastic, metals and carboard/paper to use in my 3D collage work.

Most of all I love making gifts. I thoroughly enjoy doing crafts with a small group of children. My dream is to create a non-profit organization that makes clothes and toys for the children that are orphans and refugees as a result of the fighting in the Congo and in Darfur. Would love to hear from any one who is interested in helping. Our scraps are big enough to make a wardrobe for a two-year old or a small stuffed toy.

Re: Funny Bunny

Do I look that dumb to you? Did you really think I would appreciate the curtains? Maybe you might appreciate an authentic game of search for the real bunny pellets in your beautiful pristine abode. I think it would as fun as the curtains are. Yah, really. I'm starting now.

Re: Tortoise Hiding

If that dog comes near me one more time.... Last time I bit him and he still would not put me down. What can I expect; for crying out loud, they gave me a "knitted" tent to hide in. Let me make this perfectly clear, I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE STUPID THREE LITTLE PIGS!

Re: Horsing Around

What is with this Cubist influence in my blanket? Crikey! You would think after five years they would know I prefer Baroque imagery.

Re: Doggies by a Window

Humans! One would think they were smart enough to find another way to tell twins apart other than the old idea of matching outfits in different colors. How lame is that? Can't they see that reddish hair in your left eyebrow? it is so obvious!

Re: Doggie Cardigan

I just love Wednesdays when the girls come over to play Bunko and we have tea and finger sandwiches afterward. Secretly, my favorite part is the gossip.

Re: Pup in Garland

Dear Lord, I beseech you to intercede witn Saint Dympha, Patron Saint of the mentally ill, on behalf of my Mummy and Daddy for obvious reasons. Your humble servant, Fritzi

Re: Sleepy Kitty

Of course I am a true Princess! Even through all these beautiful layers of mattresses, I can still feel that damnable pea. Oh, the pain of it all! Where is my Prince?

Re: How to Make a Cozy Spiral Scarf

I have been thinking of making spiral scarves for my daughter plus copying a ready to wear blouse with a jabot. I was fairly sure it was done with a circle. Thanks for the confirmation and instructions. Your work is truly beautiful and gives me many ideas. You are an inspiration to many.
