I am a retired Occupational Therapist who has had a life long interest in crafts and creating. My current passion is the new art form that I created, Sculpted Threads. I create jewelry and decorative items using free motion stitching with machine embroidery thread on water soluble stabilizer. My book Sculpted Threads, Artful Brooches, Earrings and More was published by Martingale and released in June 2007.

"Sculpted Threads" brooch- 5 1/2" X 4" X 2" made entirely of machine embroidery thread. Created by free motion stitching on water soluble stabilizer.

Re: What's on your sewing plate for spring?

I have a new grand-niece and the unused fabric from her mother's wedding dress that I made. A christening dress is in the "offing" this spring as well as a "grandmother of the bride" dres for June. Got to get busy!!
