Quilted Keyring Mini Hexagons
This is such a cute little handstitched keyring. I've used recycled shirt fabric for the mini hexagons. Fiddely, but at great proect when on the go :-)

This is a small selection of my hand crafted items that can be found in my shop http://www.SewDanish.etsy.com I had to open a shop because I cannot help experimenting with new designs...

Re: Crafting with VHS Tapes
Brilliant! Even though I pretty much look at everything with my 'how can I use this in my work' eyes, I've never thought about using video tapes. Thank's :-)

Re: How to Embroider Your Own Buttons
Oh, thanks for reminding me. I haven't made covered buttons in a long while. I must revisit that. Buttons covered with hand embroidered velvet looks stunning. And it is a great way of using scraps of hand dyed fabric.

Re: How to Turn a Photo of Your Pet into a Thread Painting
Free motion machine embroidery is SO much fun. It is so liberating :-) This is a great project, with a beautiful result. The colors are truely blended, which is the key to a great result. I like using the "top stitch" needles either #90 or 100 as the larger eye will accomedate metallic threads with out breaking it.

Re: How to Restyle a T-Shirt With Pin Tucks
This is a great idea! I have used pintucks and twin needle'ing to create texture on surfaces before, but never on garments. Love the effect on the t-shirt. The back is really beautiful.

I once bought a beautiful hand knittet version of this "holding hands glove" in Norway. Was knittet with a lovely traditional Norwegian pattern. I still have it :-)

Re: How to Make a Valentine from an Onion
What a great project! I love to reuse. I already have a big bag of onion peels that I have collected for when dying embroidery threads and for adding as specks of colour and interest when making handmade paper. Will deffinately have a play this technique. Birgitte http://www.SewDanish.etsy.com Scandinavian Textile Art, Unique Handmade Supplies
