I learned to sew and craft from my mother who was a professional seamstress and crafter. I made my first doll dress around four years old. I followed in her footsteps and have sewn everything from wedding dresses to home decor items. I have been on the gift show circut all over the country and have sold my products internationally. I am currently teaching others to sew and craft. I love to sew, make jewelry, papercraft, paint, work in mixed media and crochet. I do all of that from two studios in my home.

Re: How to Assemble a Doll Quilt Kit for a Young Crafter in Training

Love the idea of this project. I teach sewing to a wide range of students starting at age 14 and up and I think it is a great idea to have a kit for the projects they make.
A kit like this would be a good project for my mother/daughter class since the daughters are usually younger then my normal students.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful project.
