I am a retired elementary school teacher with 40 years of experience. I also have volunteered and instructed after school classes in loom weaving for fourth and fifth graders.Students completed hats, scarves, mittens as part of community service projects.
I have two great sons and two grandchildren. My husband and I have been married 41 years. We love camping, gardening, and traveling.
Now that I am retired, I can focus on my crafting. I enjoy paper craft, sewing, quilting, painting, and stained glass. I have completed several projects including making table runners, placemats, and bed quilts for the grandkids. I have completed several personalized birthday banners using felt and fabric for the grandchildren. My greatest accomplishment, to date, was to completing 3 stained glass panels inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. These are now hanging in my son's home entrance in Nebraska. I remain inspired by other crafters and quilters. I am always looking for a new project to try.

Re: Magazine Giveaway: Quilt With Scraps!

Scraps, Scraps, and more scraps need to find a project and I think this little magazine has just the ticket for a magic carpet ride. Wow! do I need to sort those scraps and organize them for a project or two. Would love to get my hands on this since my scraps are starting to take over.

Re: How to Make Fringe Flower Greeting Cards

Love repurposing sewing items. This is great tutorial and it's perfect not only for card making but I've also used fringe scrapes to make flowers for fleece headbands and pins. Thanks for your step by step visuals and instructions.
