After a long hiatus from sewing, Im just now getting back into it and am wanting to create my own patterns. Also I love to learn & create any sort of craft that is fun and inexpensive, like making my own soap.

Re: Patterns: Guidelines, not Gospel

Thank you so much for this post! I hate facings and they're always a pain for me. Tonight, I'm going to try a pattern that I have that calls for facings and leave them out. For some reason the facings in patterns never seem to line up properly at the shoulder seams.
