Hello, my name is Laura McHugh and I am a middle school art teacher by day and an obsessed late night crafter. I have been making and designing jewelry for five years now and have loved every minute of it. I can design 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I never run out of ideas only run out of time.

Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies. Salvaging items most would consider old or used and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, such as beads, buttons, lace, trims, fabrics, and brooches, odd one of kind vintage pieces that most would overlook, and incorporate them into my own vintage inspired accessories. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I loved creating them.

I am thrilled to say that my jewelry will be in the up coming movie Greta starring Hilary Duff and Ellen Burstyn. It was such a thrill and pleasure to work with Whitewater Films on this movie filmed in historical Ocean Grove N.J. The people could not have been kinder. I cant wait for it to be released. It was an amazing experience, one I will always treasure.

If you have the chance, you should visit this quaint historic seaside town called Ocean Grove, NJ. You will see why Greta was filmed here. Check out www.oceangrovenj.com and take a peak at the Greta movie trailer. www.gretathemovie.com.

I want to thank my dear friends Laurie and Lois who helped me design my web site. Check them out at WITTYWONDERFULWEB.COM
A special thanks to Lisa from Lisasmenagerie at LISASMENAGERIE.ETSY.COM she does amazing work and helped me design a complete business package.

You can find my collections at www.VINTAGE2GLAM.com, VINTAGE2GLAM.etsy.com, Sisters We Three Gallery, in Newburyport, MA a great sea side town and at

Re: How to Create a Community (a final tutorial)

Dear Jeff, I am so sorry to hear of these changes. I have been addicted to your posts and others on this site and have to check it every morning, looking for that wonderful craft project that I would love to try. But like all things during these difficult times there will have to be changes. I wish you and all the posters and crafters much luck, and thanks for all the terrific projects. As an art teacher I found so many projects to share with my students and have introduced them to this great site. I will be visiting all of your sites. Hang in there. Good luck to you all in your new ventures....You all will be missed here. I hope you continue with your passions, and thank you again.

Re: Paper Fiend: Inspirations, Obsessions, and Curiosities from the Web to Nourish the Soul of a Paper-Lover

Thanks again for opening up my world to the many crafters and artists out there. I feel like I went on an Art Gallery tour, and all before getting off to work. Every Monday morning I rush to my computer to check out your posts. I
missed you last week. Well this week you made up for it. It must have taken you at least a week to prepare for this one. So many images, can't wait to sit and explore all this interesting information when I have a little more time. My students will also find this way cool. Thanks again Jeff for sharing all this informative info.

Re: How to Make a Button-Embellished Notebook Cover

Love this project. You are so good with directions, so simple and easy to follow. Love the idea of gluing down buttons first then sewing. Why didn't I think of that?

Re: How to Make a Magazine Reed Box

This is a great project and simple easy to follow instructions. I am a middle school art teacher and I am always looking for new projects to challenge my students. They will love this. Thanks so much. Can't wait to try it myself.
