Re: Last Chance to Enter Dare to Make it: Holiday 2011

Yes, the projects can be anything you are making yourself. It is up to you how they are photographed, but be sure it is easy to see what each item is, and that there is a strong description for each. You can also enter each project as a separate entry if you want to focus on each one alone.

Hi Granrobyn,

I'm not sure what the problem might be. Are you speaking about the videos on our website, or on our YouTube channel. Can you tell me specifically which ones you are having trouble viewing? There shouldn't be any videos blocked to you from our website, and I will be happy to look into this for you.

Thanks,

Photos should be .jpg or .gif, can be up to 4 mb in size, and need to be between 400-1,200 pixels wide/high). It might be that your photos are too small, or that the width/height is not within the necessary requirements. If you continue to have trouble, please let me know. Thanks!

Re: SewStylish Fall Fashion Challenge Official Rules

You can definitely include a link to your inspiration if you can't upload a photo. We just want to see your creation and the designer or designer garment which inspired you. You must upload the photo of YOUR garment, but you can link to your inspiration if necessary.

Re: SewStylish Fall Fashion Challenge Official Rules

sewinl0ve,

Your garment can definitely be an original design without a pattern. We would love to see any of your original creations along with the designer garments which inspired you.

Sorry we were having a little technical glitch with the contest. Everything is up and running again and you shouldn't have a problem entering now.

Re: Project Runway, Episode 1 Recap

Tears!! There are always so many tears when it comes to reality TV. It isn't a good episode if someone isn't crying. Also, completely agree that Ari deserved to go home. Hanging out upside down instead of sketching probably wasn't the best plan.

I want to make this, but I doubt I could make the face look as cool as this. Sorry I couldn't be at the show. It sounds like you all had a good time meeting each other.

Re: Who Are You? DIY Halloween Costumes

I want you to make my costume next year Michaela. We will have to think of something good.

gravityworks2,

You should take some photos of your work and add them to the gallery so we can all see how they came out.

Re: Shopping for Fuzzy Bear Hats with My New Friend Bill Murray

It was great to meet you too Abby. The hat has caused quite a stir at the office. I think we have more photos with hats at this point than without. I only had one respectable photo of the three of us out of 70 photos.

Re: Shopping for Fuzzy Bear Hats with My New Friend Bill Murray

That is incredibly random Michaela, but I guess I can wait until you come to town in a couple of weeks.

Re: Shopping for Fuzzy Bear Hats with My New Friend Bill Murray

I've never actually seen Lost in Translation. I guess I should try to rent it now.

Re: CraftStylish Had It Made at Maker Faire Austin 2008

So much fun! I love Gregg's photos. You totally owe me a cd with everything. I feel like I missed so much while I was in the booth. I guess it pays to have a photographer in the family.

Re: Sunday Morning Pink

lptatum, as long as there is some pink in the project it will count. We would love it if you would submit a shawl.

This gown is adorable. Thanks for adding it to the challenge helnzoo2.

Re: Maker Faire Austin 2008

Great job! I got to sew for the first time when I made my lunch bag. I am going to write up a post about learning to sew. I really like the fabric you picked.

nancyartscrafts,

I just linked your post to the challenge so that it will be counted. Thanks so much for your hard work. The dolls are great.

Re: How to Crochet a Flower (Part 1)

Really nice job HoneyandDaisy. You should post your flower in the gallery as well so everyone can also see it here attached to the original project. Hopefully when I learn to crochet my flower will be here as well.

Re: Create a Lining for a Knit Bag

The pattern for this bag is available in the latest issue of our magazine, CraftStylish Gifts to Make, Vol. 2, which is available to buy in our store using the link above. We are really proud of this one and hope that everyone will check it out.

Re: "Grow"-cery Cowboy Shirt Bag

Nice bag. I like how you can keep filling up the fold top. No matter how big the bag I always end up with it full of stuff eventually.

Re: How to Make Flowers Using a Vintage Flower Loom

These are so great Cathy. Everyone here in the office wants to try this now. We might just have to buy ourselves a kit and make some flowers.

Re: The Flower Power Challenge

KraftinQT,

I just checked your second entry and it was not associated with this challenge. Your post is now linked up and it should appear on this page within the next few hours.

Thanks for entering the challenge!

Re: Make a Shrink-Plastic Ring

I really want to try these. You make it sound so easy. Now it is just a matter of finding the time.

Re: Flowered Sabucam

I am very impressed for your first try at crochet. This is the craft I am most worried about learning.

Yes, you can enter a project you have already posted. You will want to change the Pattern and Design used to "CraftStylish Design or Editor's Challenge" and choose The Flower Power Challenge from the top of the drop down box. Save your changes and you will be entered into the Challenge.

Keep in mind you may not see your photo on this page immediately. If you see the link to the Challenge at the bottom of your gallery post you know you have linked everything up correctly. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is a great project. Nice job!

Re: Paper Dasies

Great job! I am going to try to make some blue ones after my move is finally over this weekend. I bought the paper and everything.

Here are the instructions to choose a pattern: On your "My Page", click the edit button to the right of your post. Under your project description there is a choice between "My Own Design", "a CraftStylish design", and "Another Design". Please let me know if you have any other questions and I would be happy to help.

Re: Jeff's paper daisies

Nice work. You should choose Jeffery's paper daisies as the CraftStylish pattern used and your post will show up attached to the bottom of his project. I am planning on trying the daisies right after I finish moving. I can't wait.

Re: Fused Glass Broken Heart

Thanks for the information. Hopefully I can work on another project soon. It was a lot of fun and less intimidating than I thought it would be.

Re: How to Make Perfect Paper Daisies

This is great Jeffery. A friend of mine has an obsession with blue daisies. I think I will attempt these to earn my paper craft merit badge. Any suggestions about the type of paper I should use?

Re: Knit One for the Hometeam! Seattle Mariner's Stitch N' Pitch 2008

Thanks for my name tag Michaela! I can't wait to see it in person when you come to visit.

Re: Tote Bag Challenge Alert

Thanks for the feedback. I have edited the instructions to make them clearer.

Re: Fused Glass Broken Heart

Thanks. I was pretty happy with my first crafting experience. It was definitely a lot of fun and I can't wait to try something else.

Re: Show Me Your Workspace

The embroidery hoops are great Caitlin. They are similar to the hoop.dee.doo bulletin boards that I posted about not too long ago.

Re: Threadbanger Gets CraftStylish with a Tote

I love this. I think we need to find other cool ways to restyle the CraftStylish t-shirt.

Re: Strike up the Band for CraftStylish at Renegade San Francisco

I am really jealous that I couldn't go. We didn't get a band in Brooklyn. I can tell from the photos what a great time you had.

Re: Machine-Embroider a Tee with a Slogan: HTML Style!

My t-shirt has arrived and it is definitely even cooler in person than in the photos. Thanks Jen!

Re: Shrink Plastic Magic

Lilly you beat me to posting about this. One thing I found was that you can use any plastic that is marked with recyclable type 6. Just check inside the triangle logo on your plastic to-go container to make sure you have the right plastic type.

I also found a cool Shrinky Dink jewelry project on Instructables by DotatDabbled, http://www.instructables.com/id/Doodle-Earrings-Jewelry-Charms-by-Recycling-6-p/

Re: Bird Mobile Pattern Available from Spool

I wish I had somewhere I could hang one of these. The birds are beautiful and the possibilities for different fabric patterns are endless.

Re: Crafty in Connecticut

The chalk competition looks like fun. Too bad I will still be in New Jersey on Saturday. Maybe I will be back early enough on Sunday to go to the festival though. Thanks for the tip Jen!

Re: Machine-Embroider a Tee with a Slogan: HTML Style!

You had better not be trying to steal my shirt Michaela. I will fight you for it if necessary. I am the geek around here thank you very much.

Awesome job Jen!

Re: How to Set Up a Fused Glass Studio

Thanks for the great photos of your studio. Even a jar of kiln wash manages to look nice. Nice job with the tutorial.

Re: Magpie is a Great Craft Resource Near Boston, MA

Let me know when and I will be there. I can't wait to check this place out.

Re: Rain & Shine at Renegade

I feel very lucky that I was able to work the booth in slightly better weather on Sunday. Thanks for taking one for the team Laurel.

Re: Happy Father's Day From Craft Stylish

When I saw this post I was immediately inspired to write about all the things my father has made for me over the years. I thought of all of the memories I have of paper crowns for my dog and I, my doll house (dubbed the mouse house), a collapsible work table to use for my games, a bookcase to house my books (a love of mine even as a child), and the refinished table sitting in the living room of my apartment right now. I have never really thought about my dad as being crafty. He is just always there to help me, whether it was making me gold foil wings for a school project or helping me frame photos for Christmas gifts. Thanks dad, for passing along your creativity to me without my even knowing it.

Happy Belated Father’s Day!

Re: Beat The Clock with These Father's Day Last Minute Gift Ideas

Too bad I already bought my dad a card. The map idea is cool. I guess there is always next year to do something crafty. Maybe I could change it a little and use it for a birthday card.

Re: Original below 14th designs

Hey wait a minute! You better not be giving Michaela special treatment. That just isn't right. I will just have to order something better now.
