I've crafted all my life - my grandmother taught me, as a youngster, to crochet and knit (which wasn't easy, since I'm a lefty and she's not!). I've done a bit of painting (nothing freehand, mind you) and lots of sewing. I made my own wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses when I got married, 31 years ago, and made my daughter's prom gown for her senior year. I got into quilting when my children were young (3 - Ben-'79; Kate-82; & Beth-85). Now that my kids are all grown, I should have lots more time, but I seem to have less. The picture on my profile is me and my grandson, Ben.

Re: Book Giveaway: Betz White's "Sewing Green: 25 Projects Made with Repurposed & Organic Materials"

Wish I'd seen this site earlier. My daughter just sent me the url for the sandwich wrap today and asked if I thought she could make it. I was hoping to sign up to win the book, so I could send it to her. At least the instructions are on your blog for the sandwich wrap, even though I'm too late for winning the book. Thanks for the tutorial!

Re: How to Make a Reusable Sandwich Wrap

My daughter just emailed me the url for this page and asked if I thought she could make it. She didn't take to sewing much as a youngster, but I'll bet she can do it. I'd love to win the book to send to her!
