I'm a professional fiber artist who has been knitting, crocheting, sewing, and experimenting with crafts since the 1960s when I knit my way through a biology degree. In the 1980s I opened a yarn store, Wild Wools, in Albany, Calif., where I taught classes and designed and made patterns and designs for leading yarn companies including Anne Norling. After 20 years in business, and during a dearth in the knitting field, I closed my store and moved to the Sierra's where I continue teaching and knitting professionally.
