OK, just read the how to make plarn article. I do the same thing but if I try to use 1" strips the yarn is too thin and breaks easily. I live on an island and want to make shopping bags out of this. Any ideas?

I use the plastic bags to create rugs. How do you cut the yarn to make it smaller? The way I am cutting it requires a Q hook. thank you!
