This dress was inspired by the menswear meets womenswear collection by Dior in 1991. The dress is made from a cotton blend stretch twill, and the accents are done with a cotton plaid flannel...

I actually was looking through swimsuits on style.com for inspiration and came across this one by Oscar de la Renta. Immediately when I saw your dress I knew the swimsuit was your inspiration before even getting to that picture. Beautiful interpretation. P.S. was this photo taken in the labs at FIT?

I find it very difficult to mix patterned fabrics in the same design, but you pulled it off beautifully. Well done!
