After you insert your strap into the D ring, move the ring down one inch, fold the strap end down to the ring and then place the fold an inch above the ring. You should now have the raw edge touching the D ring with the fold above the ring and lying on the rest of the strap. Stitch at the fold three or four times with a larger gauge needle. Do the other side and you are finished.
