I am SAHM of 5 and spend most of my time either crafting with my kids or playing mmos such as Shayia, World of Warcraft, Everquest, Everquest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, and Guild Wars (mostly World of Warcraft right now). Over the years I have taught myself how to knit, crochet, cross stitch, do papercraft, and most recently sewing. I am really loving sewing and I am planning to learn hand embroidery, ribbon embroidery and stumpwork to add life to things that I sew. I am also wanting to learn how to quilt. The idea of making things, by hand, for people I love, That people will cherish forever is the most wonderful feeling I know.

When I got my first sewing machine just after my last birthday (it was a gift from my mom), I didn't have money to buy a lot of fabric... I bought a few patterns and while cleaning out the attic I found a huge box of old king size bed sheets, and boxes of my old clothes. My almost 11 year old reclaimed my vintage 80's garb as her own, but the old pillowcases Are living anew as tote bags for the kids, and the sheets (the salvageable bits that weren't stained by age) have gone on to live new life as one article of clothing or another. My sister went through her closet after this and gave me old clothes that she didn't wear anymore that are about to be reconditioned into baby clothes.
