I have had a passion for sewing since I was 6 years old and got my first floor modle sewing machine on my 12th birthday.

The first thing I made were slippers at age 6,on the old black Singer treddle sewing machine that belong to a friend of my mother, I was so glad to be introduced to this machine because I was getting pretty tired of sewing the slippers by hand.

When I was 17 years old I taught Arts and Crafts and Sports for the D.C. Recreation Dept. I went to school for Business Administration and worked for the Metropotain Area Transit Authority in the field of Marketing, so once I retired I had already accomplished my skills I needed for starting my home business.

They say if you want to go into business for yourself than do what you love and it will never seem like work.

I take two to three classes a month (they are free) offered by the The Small Business Administration near my home to keep abreast of what's going on out in the world and what will be happening tomorrow(certificates are givng for attending these classes)something that I am proud to hang on my walls in my studio. It let people know that I am very serious about my work and what I represent and present to them as a finish product.

I now have my own small sewing/crocheting and jewlery business at home.

Re: Sleepy Kitty

You do what you want on your time and I'll do what I want on my time.

Re: Funny Bunny

You think you know me, but you don't, since you're here, by chance do you know where I can find Roger Rabbitt?
