I am an artist by heart and profession. I have been crafty for as long as I can remember. I taught my first craft project in second grade on how to make an easter egg with a chick in it. Currently, clay, jewelry, felting and material rock my world. I am also getting into restyling clothes because of my 6-year-old daughter and her love of fashion. I dream of setting up my own shop on etsy, but have been procrastinating as usual - I'm terrible at getting started on projects, but once I do I totally live it. I am also very guilty of having too many projects going at one time and as a result take a long time to finish them. I think I love the process of creating more sometimes than the actual result.

Katie's Art Bag

I made this bag for my daughter, a budding artist, as a very special gift for her 7th birthday. The bag is my own design. I used pair of $2 thrift store jeans because of all the pockets and loops...

Re: How to Felt Sweaters

Great post. I just recently got into felting - so I love finding new info on it.
I put my sweaters in old pillowcases and use a rubber band to close the opening of the bag. Then I just turn the pillow cases inside out and dry them with the sweaters to remove all the fluff.
By the way, does anyone know if you can use the loose wool fluff for felting?
