Learned to knit from my grandmother at 5 and to sew from my mother. Started sewing doll clothes at nine. Won regional Singer Sewing contest with first dress at 14. Went in whole different direction as an adult, but often had design, sewing, and knitting/crochet projects going. Would most like to pursue freeform creative machine sewing and/or crochet as art form... Especially enjoy the "mathematical" challenge of cutting and getting pattern pieces from the least amount of fabric!
