I cant believe that this artistic journey of mine began with a rubber stamp of a Scottie dog but it did. Although my roots are in rubber stamping, I have recently entered the excited world of mixed media. I am self-taught and find myself drawn to collage, assemblage, altered book, working with beeswax and encaustic waxes. I am constantly learning and thoroughly enjoy online classes which allow me to work at my own pace. Im a childrens and teens services librarian and find that I can weave the teaching of art into programming which delights me.

Autumn Altered CD Card

Don't we all have CDs that we no longer want or that we've received in the mail? Why not alter them? I've covered these CDs with paper, collage images and real pressed Autumn leaves then...

Nesting Box Assemblage

I am always on the lookout for interesting boxes to use for assemblage.  This one seemed perfect for a little bird-related scene.  The image of the little girl and the door scene are both...

Re: Patio Bench

This chair has such character! I love how you've incorporated so many parts. They all come together beautifully. Wonderful idea.
