My husband calls me a collector. He means that I collect hobbies cause I have a shockingly short attention span and bore easily, but I think it makes me sound like a serial killer. I'm not. Really. Really. (shutup. the shovel is for roses)
I like to make stuff with my hands. Like... Books, crochet, embroidery, and all kinds of neat little projects. I cook too, but I'm kind of aggressive about it so I piss off the smoke detectors a lot. I've started gardening more, since I try to be conscious about my food. I love watching plants grow, and then making yummy edibles out of them.
I was raised in California (how I miss it!), and lived in Washington, Arizona, Missouri, and now deep in the South. Yes, it's different here. There are alligators (awesome) and tornadoes (horrifying). Enough said.
I'm finishing up a master's degree in 2012 and will hopefully go on to a PhD. I'm verbose, and I write a lot, like a whole lot, mostly academic stuff, and the blogging is cool cause it satisfies that constant itch to write, but in short bursts. Perfect for my ADD.
My husband is magniflorious and my dogs are like 100 pound toddlers. I have three, and all three want all of my attention all the time. The five of us spend lots of time outdoors: hiking, hanging out at the lakes, driving to the beach, and camping, although we don't get to camp as often as we would like.
I use the oxford comma. Say "ya'll" and I will hit you with my shovel. Even though English needs a plural second person. Shit. The ADD is kicking in.
Focus! Welcome. Say hi. I will not hit you with my shovel. I haven't done that in ages.
