I have been sewing sence the age of 10. I have made everthing from baby clothes, in my 20's to matching coats for my self and my daughter. There was a long period that the sewing "gene" seemed to be hiding, then...POW.. I was back! In my 40's I began making hats. Things starting flying from then on. They sold well, and I opened a small store. Yes, with just hats. Every year I expaned...this was in Vermont. Then I took a blind leap, and opened srores in Rhode Island, all on a shoe sting mind you! The best was in Newport, and I was still designing hats and embelishments. It was great, and all from learning to sew an apron as a child.
Now I am retired...still having a hunger for creating with fabric, and lots of craft mediums., but not knowing anymore where I fit in. So I have decided to teach! I want to help people to learn to love the joy of creating, and inturn also enable other to learn a new skill to help in these tough times. kv
