This summer I have been making children's garments, something I have never had an interest in doing in the past. Considering that my only "child" is almost 25, and I have no grandchildren, I had to find children to sew for. Luckily my co-workers have children, and I made clothes to fit them. I made mostly garments for little girls, and was able to try out many new (at least to me) trims, embellishments, and techniques. I re-kindled my love for natural fiber fabrics, especially high-quality cottons. And, as a bonus, I received very sweet thank-you notes from the children. This was so much fun that I may have to do this type of sewing more often!

Perfect timing! My niece is getting married in September and I will make a special garter for her wedding using these instructions. Thanks!
