Re: Book Giveaway: Design-It-Yourself Clothes
I'm new to sewing. One of the reasons I started was my daughter. We (with great love and affection) describe her shape as a potato. She's 4'10", chunky and shaped like a potato with legs, arms and a head.
posted: 10:16 am on September 27thAfter years of tears when school clothes shopping, I told her if she likes something we'll buy two of them and I'll make it into one that fits her.
So I've started sewing. I've been fortunate in that all my projects so far have turned out very well. The dress which needed some love (as my kids say)turned out surprisingly good. My daughter loves it and wears it regularly. The others are being worked on, so I'm hopeful they turn out as well.
Any help in creating clothes for a teenager with a difficult shape to fit would be a wonderful thing.
