I'm an American, currently living in the tropical island paradise called Bali. I've always enjoyed crafting, and have found inspiration for my creations here on this beautiful island. Indonesia is rich with abundant resources and the materials I use are in their rawest form -- so it's often more of a challenge than I am accustomed to. But I am compelled to look at everything from a slightly different perspective and to move forward accordingly.
The people of Bali are mostly of the Hindu religion, and therefore do not celebrate Christmas. I love the excitement of the Christmas season, but soon learned that if I wanted decorations, I would have to make my own, including the tree itself. So I embarked on fulfilling my own needs, and soon decided that maybe the many other expats living here might like to decorate with traditional ornaments. And now, though I have the ideal tropical tree and several set of themed ornaments, I am moving into recycled materials. The line is expanding slowly to include accessories and table decor, and I will soon offer handmade baskets for natural and organic bath gifts.
Well, I suppose I could go on and on, but will stop here for now.
