Upgraded $5 Scarf

I wanted to make something really quick for some fashionable ladies, so I took these $5 scarfs, used some elastic thread and regular thread, and made them all ruffly like.

Quilt Square Baby Blocks

I was inspired yet again by my little girl to make these for another baby in the family. I used "boy" prints from a mixed lot of quilt squares and saved the "girl" ones for my little one.

Re: Upgraded $5 Scarf

Sorry to get back so late. I haven't been on in a while :)
To make it ruffled, I put elastic thread in the bobbin and used regular thread on top. I sewed even straight lines down the long length of the scarf. The elastic caused the material to bunch up like that. Make sure that you sew with the regular thread all on the same side of the scarf, so the elastic will all face the neck when worn.
