Re: Baby memory quilt
Many years ago, my daughter asked to fix her baby blanket which was falling apart. i covered it with a sheet and wrapped it up. Several years later, it needed a new layer.
posted: 2:25 am on April 25thnow 40 years later it has many, many layers and it now a king size quilt. My granddaughter is almost ready for me to cover up her baby blanket in the same way. But I'm not going to continue sewing new layers on it for her as I have for her Mom who still sleeps under her baby blanket quilt.
I am presently making a memory quilt from clothing from each of my family members. Thankfully I have a large family so there will be many squares of fabric used.
I will be using safety pins to hold it all together when I am ready to sew the quilting onto the pieced layer.
