I used to also wonder what to do with the leftover yarns. Then I got an idea of making afghans with them. I believe some of the afghans made with the odd yarns are much prettier than the ones I have bought certain colors for. Another thing I am presently doing is making hats on my kniffty knitter. Teens especially love the "funky" combinations I come up with.
