Re: Crochet as Art: Joana Vasconcelos

Wow, her work is wicked awesome. Thanks for the site.

Re: The Tool You Never Knew You Needed: Stitch Gauge

Guess I'll have to pick up one of the Susan Bates guages, it looks like it accomodates crocheters. I never used guage swatches for crocheting either, but I can see where it is useful and needed.

Re: How to Make a Granny Square

Crochet is my favorite craft, and I do it a lot! The granny square is an old favorite and I use it often. I'm so glad to see a push to make crochet a "not just for grannies" craft. The granny square can be contemporary depending on the yarns you use. All of the delicious novelty yarns have got me crocheting something all the time. I love them and can't wait to use them. All of the standard yarns are still used, but in conjunction with the newer fun yarns, and I love, love, love it. My granny squares have taken on a whole new life.

Re: Luxury Large Button Wrap

Thanks for such a beautiful knitted poncho pattern. I will try it, I have some new yarn coming and it just might work. I love the one button idea. Great!

Re: Knitting Needles: Tools of the Trade

Thanks for the updates on what is coming up with knitting needles. I'm not totally new to knitting but, I am expanding my knitting to beyond the scarf. I have a sock on needles and am looking for size 2 dpn's because the size 3 dpn's I have are two large for the yarn. Learn as you go.
