I love to sew, garden, read, write poetry, embroider and create embroidery designs. I have three lovely grandchildren whom I love to sew things for for holidays and birthdays. I live in Big Sky Country and love every minute of nature all around me, including the deer, wolves, eagles, moose, mountain lions, Canada geese, and ducks.

Jeans Purse from hem scraps and flat-felled seam for strap

I used hems from old jeans for the front, back and front flap. I used the flat-felled seam for a strap and edge cut with a rotary cutter blade. On the front is a decoratrive button...

I am definitely going to make this. I usually wear a straw cowboy hat to do gardening, but this is even better! I might also try putting a small piece of elastic (1/4" elastic) in the back to make the brim fit tighter so the wind does not blow it away!

I am just getting into felting and have amassed roving, tops, yarn, beads, cording, trims, you name it! Using all these trim pieces is finally a way to convince my husband it was worth collecting (ggg).
