Fantastic! I whipped up a pair but didn't sew them in, in order to transfer them between pairs of gloves. They get slipped into my mittens to warm my fingertips when shoveling, into the backs of my fingerless gloves when I'm typing, and into the palms of the same gloves when I'm reading. Very useful and finger-saving.

OOoooo, I want that pretty gift wrap under my tree. Years ago, I sewed some simple drawstring bags from red and green calico fabrics, and I use them to "wrap" odd-sized gifts. My family knows to return them to me and that they'll see them again at the next Christmas.

Re: How to Sew a Bias Tape Facing

This technique works great with heavy fabric, too. I made a fitted shirt from stretch denim, and a standard double-turned hem would have been just too bulky. The bias tape helps the hem lay smooth, instead of rolling up like shirt hems sometimes do.
