My name is Rosemari Roast and I am called herbalist, artist, healer and priestess of the wild. I am the caretaker to Walk in the Woods, LLC, a home-based holistic wellness practice in the northwest hills of Connecticut.

Some might ask, what does crafting and the arts have to do with wellness? Well, creative expression is vital to health and wellness and might even be called one of the many facets of holistic health. So, as a mirror for others I mix and blend, I draw and paint, I write and mold, I sculpt and print, I drum and chant and dance, I live and love!

craft interests: crochet, embroidery, fashion, gifts, holidays, home decorating, jewelry making, knitting, memory making, paper crafts, quilting, restyle, sewing, upcycling

Re: How to Make a Mosaic with Your Old Plastic

What a great crafty project *and* clever way to keep all that horrid plastic out of our landfills. Nice!

Re: Heartfelt Valentines: Fortune Cookies and Rings!

These are so very, very cute ... a great gift for valentine's and anytime.

Re: How to Turn Blah Buttons into Bodacious Buttons

This is such a fun-fun-fun idea! And, as a rabid waste-not upcycling champion, I adore the nail polish idea! While I don't wear it, I know several who do and who likely have bottles that they (shame on them) regularly discard! :)

Re: How to Make Singleton Buttons

These are super-charming!

Re: How to Crochet a Chunky Last-Minute Scarflet

I love this! My spouse wants to learn to crochet ... I may have him make me one of these when he's ready for his first simple challenge!

Re: How to Transform Holiday Tins

What a beautiful idea! And one more to add to my long, long list of fun and useful things to do!

Re: How to Compose a Beautiful Scarf from Scraps

What a cool project! I'm unfamiliar with the stabilizer product and now I'm sooooo looking forward to getting some and trying this out!

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Summer Fashion Finds On Etsy

I love that red halter - it's so cool and hot, contemporary and retro all at once! And being a hat-lover, I really dig the green sunhat too. And the earrings and pendant and frock and tunic too!

Oh, heck - I just love Etsy!

Re: How to Make Pretty Pincushions

Fun stuff there!

Re: Happy Father's Day From Craft Stylish

I have several items of my dad's. Some were his that he used while in this life (like the desk and chair I'm sitting in at the moment), and his WWII dog-tags, some are items that he made ... but one item I have that he made is a lovely coffee table - and I often wonder if he knew that he was making it FOR ME at the time.

:)

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads!
