5. Mix the epoxy. Following the manufacturer's instructions, mix the epoxy on a disposable item, such as a piece of cardboard. You will need to move quickly as the epoxy sets in four minutes. Flip the scalloped dish upside-down, and apply a thin layer of epoxy to the bottom of the dish with the applicator that comes with the epoxy or a utility knife.



6. Glue the parts together. Attach the scalloped dish to the base of the cup, making sure it's centered. Then let it dry. Put a candle in the dish, light the candle, and enjoy.



TIP: From Candles to Flowers
We're thinking of this artful little creation as a candle holder, but that doesn't mean you have to. You could also create a vase by swapping the placement of the cups, as shown at right. If flowers aren't your style, put whatever suits your fancy into your creation.
